This week I donated to the Beekeeping Forum. I realised it has been a constant source of advice and learning since my first course last June. This last week I have found out what a bee-bole is and where there are some I could visit – and wondered whether I could build a modern one. I have managed to find a source of a reasonably priced and recommended skep. (I had wanted one but couldn’t afford the prices I saw before). I have also found out about hive makers that are reasonable, been forced to really think about why we feed in spring compared with autumn feed and also found someone who, like me, is looking for a reasonably priced observation hive. Not sure I am closer to having my own but possible!
